Check out this awesome introduction by Frederick W. Farr entitled "How Shall I Study My Bible?" written in a summary of the New Testament by Keith L. Brooks copyrighted 1919! The introduction discusses seven conditions for effective Bible study, and it is truly inspirational! (Shared by Leadership Team member Lance Carpenter...THANKS LANCE!)
Having sent our first team of missionaries to serve with Promise Home in Honduras earlier this year (April 3rd through April 10th) with great success, we are considering how we can continue to partner with them. We already have other folks scheduled to go, so please join us in prayer as we develop this relationship and serve the children and families there!
Many of you were able to join us last Sunday as Amy Kemp shared the mission and ministry of Oblong Children's Christian Home. In just a few short weeks Pastor Cory is leading a team of CRABBY students and leaders to venture to Oblong to serve and get to know the kids there. We are very excited about this new relationship and wanted to give you direct access to OCCH and what they are doing. Click here to check out their website, and please keep OCCH, CRABBY, and all who are serving in your prayers!
Every week we make "Announcement Sheets" available during our worship gatherings. These sheets contain information about events that are happening in and around Family Bible Church and our community. Have you ever thought, "Hey. I wish I could put ______ in there! I wonder how I do that?" Well, wonder no more....
Just write a quick note to email@example.com, and we'll include your information in future announcement sheets. Please specify how long you'd like it to run. If you don't specify a time, we'll only include it once. Happy sharing!
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder. For as in the day of Midian's defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. Every warrior's boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
